We had Kennedy’s birthday party early this year. A couple of weeks ago she got to invite a few girls for a swimming sleep-over at the motel. The one thing I have always been against are sleep-overs. This past year she has been invited to several sleep-overs and I’ve always let her go until about mid-night and then she would come home. I just thought that late nights are much better and safer. Well I finally gave in and let her sleep over once and now the cat’s out of the bag. I still feel it’s not a great idea, however on special occasions, such as birthdays I may give in a time or two, especially since we had our own sleep over.
The girls really seemed to have a blast. They swam until dark, had treats and then came in for decorating hats and playing games. The night didn’t end until after 3:00 am. One girl left at midnight and then returned at 5:30 am, waking all those who had just previously fallen asleep. I got a phone call from the girls at 6:00 am (I was in a room next to the two they had) asking if they could go get breakfast now. After breakfast, they went swimming until 9am. We all got cleaned up and ready for a parade that was going on that morning. After the parade I took them all home. It was really nice to have it over with.
Kennedy, I couldn’t ask for a better daughter. I wouldn’t change one thing about you. I love you with all my heart.

She is so gorgeous! Like mother like daughter. You are brave to take on that many 10 year olds. What a great mom!
She is such a pretty girl. I agree you are one brave woman. Glad you made it through it.
WOW!! You are supermom! I don't know how you manage to throw such HUGE parties for your girls. I guess your girls are just as lucky to have you as their mommy as you are to have them as your kids:) What a fun fun party, I want to come next time:) Oh and we are working out the whole sleepover thing too, Im not a huge fan
Seriously, you are supermom! How fun, wish I could be like that.
Ok trin what is up with the sleep over thing? We were always at each others houses!! Give them there freedom girl! Let them explore and live life! Oh wait I know its cause we always snuck out and got into trouble HAHA! Do u remember tipping over a stop sign on night it was Halloween actually. What about going for walks on the res at midnight and scaring ourselves to death. Ok I agree don't let them have sleep overs! My boys have sleep overs all the time and I know they sneak out and walk around good old Enterprise. Maybe I am just to laid back of a MOM. Your girls are beautiful young women and u are a great Mom! We still need to plan a get together soon. Luv ya.
What a fun birthday party! I've never even attempted a birthday party sleepover, that's ALOT of work.
She is a beautiful girl, just like her mom.
You are brave and one cool mom. I don't know if I would have the nerves for such a thing.
